Behind the Buns

It started in the summers as a kid. My mother would take me and my sisters to Winder Dairy and get their hot dog specials and go on a fun adventures. Learning to play tennis, going to the kids museum, hiking the trails, exploring 5 points mall, or playing at Rocket Park.

Fast forward a number of years and in an attempt to improve and add to the culture of one of my jobs, I started hot dog days! Selling and making hot dogs for my co-workers, turning it into a monthly event with great success.

That eventually turned into a desire to make and sell hot dogs to any and everyone. To meet (and mess with) the people that live around me. I’ve always been a sucker for the small town feel and Pleasant Grove is the epitome of that feeling. I’ve grown to love this town, having come here since I was a child to visit my Grandmother, I have drank the kool-aid. Now as a proud resident of the town I want to be part of its history and give a little back.

With the encouragement of so many, come and join me in my next adventure and help me build something special. I invite young and old (especially the old) to come and start your own family tradition. Moms, Dads, Grandmas and Grandpas, kids and cool kids come and try Ben’s Franks.
